Brugge – A Review
Brugge is a beautiful citybreak, weekend getaway and takes only around 3-4 hours by Eurostar from London.
Here’s a few recommendations:
Getting Around:
Renting a bike is the best way to get around the city. You can rent a bike from as little as 6 euro per hour or 12 euro for a day.
Another great way to see the city is by canal tour at around 8 euro
Things to do:
– Climb The 366 step Belfry Tower for amazing view of the city.
– Take a bike tour to Damme, a picturesque town approximately 8km out of Brugge along some beautiful canals.
– Sample some Belgian Cuisine such as Flemish Stew, Chips, chips and more chips, Waffles and Chocolate.
– Take in some of the historical sites such as The Church of Our Lady which houses the famous Madonna & Child, stolen by the nazi’s during world war 2.
The Basilica of The Holy Blood, Burg Square or the main Markt.

If you’re planning on eating out, do yourself a favour and keep away from the main Markt Square as prices are almost double the norm.
Head a few streets off the centre of town and find some great cuisine at prices that won’t break the bank.
Nightlife:
